Ben Hogan & Ed Furgol Original Wire Photos - US Open Trophy
This lot features a pair of original wire photos. The first shows Ben Hogan shaking the hand of Ed Furgol after Furgol won the 1954 Us Open tournament by one stroke over Gene Littler. Ben Hogan finished that year tied for 6th place. Photo measures 8 1/8" x 8 1/8". The second photo shows Ben Hogan holding the trophy in 1950 after winning his second of four US Opens. This was just 16 months after the automobile accident that nearly claimed his life. Photo measures 6 1/2" x 7 3/4"
