1924 US Open Original Wire Photo - Trophy


This lot features an original wire photo measuring 8" x 9 1/2" of the trophy at the 1924 US Open. In 1924 a relatively unknown Englishman Cyril Walker beat defending champ Bobby Jones by 3 strokes. This was the first Major tournament held at the South course of Oakland Hill Country Club. Back of photo has the typical editorial marks.
