1917 Fairhaven Golf Club Sterling Match Holder - with Matches
Featured in this lot is a sterling silver match holder that measures 1 7/8" x 1 3/4" Fairhaven was originally a 12 hole course next to Fairhaven Lake. Founded in 1895 the club had to contend with tides on one side of the course and the developers of the King Edward School on the other. In 1924 the club moved a half mile inland where it still stands. Lot is in excellent condition with matches in the case still. Front reads:
