1918 Oakland GC Red Cross Tournament Tiffany Sterling Box Won by Morris Carpenter
This lot features a trophy box from the 1918 Oakland Golf Club Red Cross tournament. In 1918 the whole world was suffering from the influenza epidemic. This was likely a tournament held to help raise more money for the charity. The box is made by Tiffany & Co, established in 1837, one of the most famous jewelers in the world. Beautiful piece for your collection. Inscription reads:
