Fruitland Nurseries Check (1929) and Invoice (1931) - Augusta Grounds Founded Upon

This lot features a unique piece of Augusta memorabilia. Before Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts founded Augusta National Golf Club, Augusta was famous for peach farms. At the time, Fruitland was the most successful horticultural sites in the South. Fruitland planted millions of peach trees in the 1800s and early 1900s and made Georgia famous for its sweet Georgia Peaches. In 1931, the land was eventually purchased and transformed into the most famous golf course in the world. This is a must-have item for Augusta collectors!

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, November 20th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
