1925 USGA Women's Amateur Contestant Badge GLENNA COLLETT Wins - #13

Glenna Collett was one of the greatest female golfers in the 1920s and 1930s. This lot presents a Contestant badge from the 1925 USGA Women's Amateur Golf Championship, which Collett won at the St. Louis Country Club. Badge #13 measures 1 1/4" diameter and has preserved extremely well, coming to you in excellent condition. Collett won her first of six U.S. Amateur Championships in 1922 (also in 1925, 1928, 1929, 1930, and 1935). Between 1928 and 1931, Glenna Collett won 16 consecutive tournaments. The U.S. Women's Amateur Championship was the most prestigious tournament for female golfers before the professional era of women's golf. This is a great vintage collectible, in pristine condition, to add to your collection.
