Arnold Palmer Signed Golf Digest 10/1968

R.I.P. to The King. We'll never see anyone in golf as beloved as Arnold Palmer, and his career accomplishments are overshadowed by his impact on the game. The late Palmer passed away Sunday, September 25 at age 87. Arnold Palmer was golf's iconic figure during the television era, where his play and charisma created a following known fondly as "Arnie's Army." Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player are credited as being the golfers that helped golf become a mainstream sport in the 1960s. It was Arnie, though, that made golf appealing to more than just upper-class individuals through his demeanor and play. This lot presents an excellent opportunity to add an Arnold Palmer autographed Golf Digest magazine. The King signed the cover of this October 1968 Golf Digest magazine boldly in black Sharpie. The seven-time Major winner appears on the cover of the magazine, which comes to you in good condition. The magazine does show signs of wear, but still presents very well with Arnie's autograph. The King will truly be missed.
