Arnold Palmer Signed Sports Illustrated 'Sportsman of the Year' 1/9/1961

R.I.P. to The King. We'll never see anyone in golf as beloved as Arnold Palmer, and his career accomplishments are overshadowed by his impact on the game. The late Palmer passed away Sunday, September 25 at age 87. His storied career included seven major championships and 62 PGA Tour victories, which ranks as seventh and fifth, respectively, on the all-time list. Arnie left his classic autograph on the cover of this Sports Illustrated 'Sportsman of the Year' magazine cover. Palmer signed the Jan. 9, 1961 SI edition in black Sharpie. While the autograph presents extremely well, the magazine itself is in fair condition, showing evidence of wear. There is color loss where the address label was originally located. See photos for more details on condition. This is an excellent opportunity for collectors to add an autographed 'Sportsman of the Year' magazine cover from the late King of golf.
