Open Championship Badges from Tom Watson's Wins - 1975, 1977, 1980, 1982, & 1983
Any Tom Watson or British Open collector should take note of what is being offered in this lot. We have Open Championship badges from the five tournaments that ended with Watson hoisting the Claret Jug. Watson won eight Majors in his career and his five British Open titles are the most by any golfer. He won in 1975, 1977, 1980, 1982, and 1983. The following badges are included in this lot, with location and condition noted:
1975 - R&A Tent #575; at Carnoustie; badge is in good condition, showing slight discoloration. Original string is intact. Some writing in pencil is present on back of badge.
1977 - R&A Tent #609; at Turnberry; badge is in good-excellent condition
1980 - Season pass #8111; at Muirfield; badge in in excellent condition
1982 - R&A Guest #707; at Royal Troon; badge is in excellent condition
1983 - Reserved Stand 18th Green; at Royal Birkdale; badge is in good-fair condition. The lamination on the front of the badge is slightly damaged. Doesn't negatively affect overall presentation.
