1997 Masters Badge #A02110 - Tiger Woods First Masters Win!
Tiger Woods won his first Masters Tournament, and first major championship in general, at the 1997 Masters, and you would need a badge to witness the history. Here we have a 1997 Masters Series badge #A02110, in NR-MT condition, available to bidders. The original pin is attached atop the plastic badge, which is a different badge than you typically see at Augusta National, displaying a hologram of the Masters logo with 'Masters' written boldly in green. Masters collectors who need this one for their collection should look no further than this lot. Tiger burst onto the golf scene prior to this tournament, but his dominating performance at the 1997 Masters solidified his claim as one of the best golfers to play the game. Woods set the Masters record for margin of victory (12 strokes) and four-round score of 270 (-18), and at age 21 he became the youngest and first non-white golfer to win at Augusta National.
