Willie Park Musselburgh Smooth Face Mid-Iron
A smooth face mid-iron by Willie Park Jr. with a grooved sole is available in this lot. Park wasn't just an exceptional club maker and golf course architect, he also was a two-time Open Championship winner (1887 and 1889). This vintage club is in good condition and presents well among any iconic hickory clubs. The grip remains in good shape. On the back of the club head 'W. PARK MUSSELBURGH' is stamped. As in the early days of marking clubs, Park stamped his name and not a symbol during the years 1885-1915.
