Bobby Jones Original Catalina Photo - Ornate Frame
Deluxe Frame measures 10 1/2" x 8 3/4" and houses Bobby Jones original 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" photo. Image depicts Bobby Jones in April 1931 as he was on hand to conduct the finishing ceremony and present the trophies. The event featured the elite California golfers of the time competing for the Bobby Jones trophy in the aptly named First Catalina Bobby Jones Amateur Golf Tournament.Included in the photo with Jones is George Marshall who was toastmaster for the event and the director of Jones' instructional films, which were also shot in 1931. Please note the large bronze trophy in the photo on the presentation table.
