1974 Masters Tournament Wednesday Ticket - #9856


Gary Player won the 1974 Masters at 278 (–10), two strokes ahead of runners-up Dave Stockton and Tom Weiskopf. It was the second of Player's three Masters wins (1961, 1974, 1978) and the seventh of his nine major championships. Badges have become more prevalent than these paper tickets from the 1974 Masters. Signed by Tennessee Ernie Ford. Ford was an American recording artist and television host who enjoyed success in the country and Western, pop and gospel musical genres. Noted for his rich bass-baritone voice and down-home humor, he is remembered for his hit recordings of "The Shotgun Boogie" and "Sixteen Tons". He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Ronald Reagan in 1984, he passed away in 1991. There is a crease that reaches across the length of the ticket
