Lot of Three Jack Burke Signed Logo Golf Balls
The second-oldest Masters Tournament winner still living, Jack Burke graced us with signed golf balls from three golf courses. Burke was a two-time major winner, with both victories coming in 1956 at the Masters and PGA Championship. Burke's Masters victory would be remembered as one of the greatest comebacks in tournament history. He finished one stroke ahead of amateur Ken Venturi, after trailing by eight strokes entering Sunday's final round. Burke was late to arrive on Sunday after attending church and had just minutes to warm up. Nonetheless, his prayers were answered as he would go on to shoot a 71 (one of only two golfers to break par Sunday) and rallied to pass Venturi, who had led the entire tournament.
The three logo balls represent the following courses:
Cypress Point Club
Memorial Park - Houston
Blue Hill Country Club
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signatures and their certification of its authenticity will come with this lot.
