Jack Nicklaus Signed Sports Illustrated - June 25, 1962
Dated June 25, 1962, this issue of Sports Illustrated provided a review of Jack Nicklaus' first professional win over Arnold Palmer at the 1962 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club. Signature is clearly signed in black Sharpie. The Golden Bear beat The King, who won in 1960, in an 18-hole playoff that marked the beginning of their legendary rivalry. Oakmont CC will host its ninth U.S. Open this year.
