Arnold Palmer, Venturi, & Finsterwald Signed Sports Illustrated - June 13, 1960
This June 13, 1960 edition of Sports Illustrated magazine comes signed by Arnold Palmer, Ken Venturi, and Dow Finsterwald. The SI cover presents a 1960 U.S. Open preview, and fitting that Palmer appeared on the cover, as he would go on to stage arguably the greatest comeback in U.S. Open history, erasing a seven-stroke deficit in the final round to win his only U.S. Open championship. This copy does exhibit some wear; the front cover is detached and the back cover has a slight corner missing in the upper left corner. The golfers signed the magazine clearly in black Sharpie.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signatures and their certification of its authenticity will come with this lot.
