1954 Masters Third Round Serviceman's Ticket #100 - Sam Snead Winner

This marks the first 1954 Masters ticket The Golf Auction has offered with the seldom seen Seviceman's designation. With Fort Gordon in close proximity to the Augusta National the club continued to do its part in honoring the soldiers who fought in the Korean and World War II providing a limited number of complimentary admissions. It's far and away the harder example to find between regular patron badge and this round in design printing. This popular 1954 Masters ticket measures 3" in diameter. It gave servicemen the opportunity to watch the main event which was the battle between Ben Hogan and Sam Snead. In '54 it was "The Slammer" who was victorious, claiming his third and final Masters title. Surface creasing is apparent on both front and back with evidence that it has been worn on the hollowed grounds of the Augusta National. Still, the scarce survivor of patron wear demonstrates pleasing overall condition.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, APRIL 10th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
