Seldom Seen Robert T Jones Jr. Hickory Shaft 2-Iron - Made in 1931 Only
Metal clubs were first allowed beginning in 1924, but in 1930 Jones had won the Grand Slam with hickories in his bag. As part of the traditionalist approach of Bobby Jones and Spalding, there were hickory sets of the Robert T. Jones Spalding Kro-Flite clubs custom made during the 1933 year. This 2 iron is from one of those custom manufactured sets. Other later examples of this club do not contain a true hickory shaft as this one does. Reg No. H38470
