Tiger Woods' Signed 2004 Guest Registration at The Lodge Torrey Pines
Just outside San Diego in La Jolla, California is a seaside course called Torrey Pines. It is on this course that Tiger Woods had more career success then any other. Woods started his winning ways there as a 15 year old when in 1991 he won the Junior World Championships. He followed that up at Torrey with 7 PGA Tour wins on site at events known as the Buick and then Farmer's Insurance Invitational (1999,2003,05,06,07,08,13). His dominance of Torrey Pines was stamped forever when he won the 2008 United States Open played at Torrey while injured playing practically on one leg. On property bordering the course is The Lodge at Torrey Pines it was at this property that Tiger Woods would stay each time he competed at the Buick and the '08 U.S. Open. The Hotel Manager at The Lodge from 2003 to 2009 was William Friese, our consignor (Please see photo of Mr. Friese and Tiger by plane, along with his letter of provenance on this and many other items from this time period in this auction). Through this relationship comes the actual signed (Tiger Woods) guest registration form which Tiger filled out in 2004. Leading autograph authenticator PSA/DNA provides their letter of authenticity (#Z05694)which comes with this lot.
