2008 Buick Invitational
Tiger Woods notched his sixth win (4th straight year)at the Buick Invitational during his 2008 visit. On property bordering the course is The Lodge at Torrey Pines it was at this property that Tiger Woods would stay each time he competed at the Buick. The Hotel Manager at The Lodge from 2003 to 2009 was William Friese, our consignor (Please see photo of Mr. Friese and Tiger by plane, along with his letter of provenance on this and many other items from this time period in this auction). Through this relationship comes a Revised Buick Invitational hole placement chart, seldom used Black Sharpie marker, Buick VIP Credential, CBS Sports Buick Invitational credential, Loews Hotel pen, and envelope with writing of $936,000 on front (Amount Tiger received for winning tournament!).A copy of Mr. Friese's signed and dated letter of provenance will come with this one-of-a-kind lot..
