1895 'Half Hours with an Old Golfer' Book by Calamo Currente
1895, London, George Bell and Sons. 184 p.p. Illustrated by G. A. Laundy, plus 4 chromolithograph (a type of lithography which is printed in color) plates with tissue guards, including frontispace. 7 1/2 x 5 decoratively gilt-stamped and lettered orange cloth. First edition. "This work delivers, completely in verse, instruction, the rules and how to behave when playing the game."Light shelf wear, still a very good copy of an interesting pre-1900 look at golf with visually pleasing chromolithograph illustrations.
