Sterling Classic Ornate Match Holder
This golf themed match holder, also known as matchsafes or vesta cases measures 1 1/4" x 5/8" x 2 3/4". The golden age of matchsafes was around 1870 until the 1930s when matchbooks and cigarette lighters eliminated the need for match holders. This period example displays with raised golfer prominent along crossed clubs circling the exteriors that carry the golfing motif over its entire frame.
