New England weather was windy and chilly leading to the inflated score of 293, nine strokes over par for the best four day aggregate posted by any player at the 1963 United States Open at Brookline Country Club. This hard fought score was attained by Julius Boros, Jacky Cupit and Arnold Palmer. Boros In the 18-hole playoff that followed the next day shot a 70 to earn a companion U.S. Open trophy for the won he had captured in 1952. At 43-years old Boros became the oldest champion in the long history of the event. Remaining in excellent condition some 52 years after publication by the U.S.G.A. this program will make a great addition to your memorabilia from this historic championship of the United States.
