1964 US Open at Congressional Press Badge #269
With temperatures reaching 100 degrees on the course it is almost certain whoever owned this 2 1/2" diameter Press designation badge at the 1964 U.S. Open was sitting in the cool of the press tent watching on television as Ken Venturi sank his clutch 10 foot par putt on the 72nd hole to win the '64 Open. Offered here is a badge which allowed it's owner into few of the few cool areas which were anywhere to be found at Congressional Country Club that steamy day in June of '64. This badge contains a limited area of staining over its otherwise Excellent composition.
