Chick Evans Signed 1932 'First Flight - Air Mail' Cachet with Inscription
Over his long career which started in the 1910's, Chick Evans was one of the most recognized faces in American amateur golf. In 1916, he was the first amateur to win the U.S. Open and the U.S. Amateur in the same year. He followed this feat up with a second U.S. Amateur title in 1920. A member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, Evans' signature has been penned in ink on this great condition 1932 'First Flight - Air Mail' cachet. With his Evans caddie scholarship program remaining so important to this day, Chick will long be recognized in the golf community for more then just his outstanding play at the turn of the century.
Inscription reads:
"We would ? ? deprived of a wonderful service without air mail"
