Mickey Mantle Signed Golf Ball with 'No. 7' Notation
Mickey Mantle loved to sign baseball's, and there are literally thousands of them out in the collecting world to prove it. The "Mick" on the other hand dispised autographing golf balls for their size and the problem of forming his autograph over the dimple structure of a golf ball. This bit of information comes from no less an authority then Mike Stoner who served as a lawyer for Mantle on several sports memorabilia related issues, and was a playing partner at the numerous charity golf events which Mantle played in post career. A generation of fans raised Mantle to the pinnacle of athletes to come out of the 1950's sports scene. Boldly penned in black sharpie, this immortal of the ball field, has penned his autograph to the ball from his favorite post career activity of golf. He has also added his familiar No 7 uniform number from his New York Yankee playing days to the autograph. A treasure for the autograph golf ball collector, or Mantle fan. This is one of the scarcest Mantle autographed items to find. James Spence full letter of authenticity will come to the winner of this prized lot.
