Gary Player Signed Oakland Hills Scorecard '"Site of best shot ever!'

Oakland Hills has a long storied history, and with that usually comes a notorious lasting image or shot from a golfer that told their tale of victory. Gary Player is one of those golfer's, and he battled Oakland Hills to win the 1972 PGA Championship. On the final day of the Championship, the South African Hall of Famer hit his famous nine iron approach to the club's signature 16th hole. Player says the shot out of the heavy rough that day was truly one of his best ever. It was the sixth of Player's nine major titles, but his first in over four years.
