1933 Trans-Mississippi Tournament Contestant Badge

The Trans-Mississippi was first contested in 1901, and was one of the most prestigious titles in amateur golf when Gus Moreland won the event in 1941 for the 2nd consecutive year at Broadmoor Golf Club in Colorado Springs, Co. This event continued to be the top proving ground for premiere amateur talent when Jack Nicklaus posted repeat victories in the Trans-Am in 1959 & '60, and today well into its second 100 years of play it is the place to be for top amateur golfers. 1 5/8" x 1 1/4"
