Baltusrol Golf Club Tee Box #7 - Circa 1920's
This glorious timepiece from Baltusrol Golf Club originated from a greenskeeper’s estate many years ago. Here we offer a hole marker #7 from Baltusrol, the same vintage (1920’s) as shown on the cover of the 1980 U.S. Open Program (showing hole #9 marker) as seen in the accompanying photographs. This is a heavy metal-type circular plate situate on a wooden plinth exactly as it would have been displayed on the 7th tee for decades. In all likelihood this marker was on the course for many of the great golfing events at Baltusrol throughout the 20th century, from the early sand tee days to the 1980 Open won by Jack Nicklaus. 9 1/2" x 9 1/4"
