2001 'The Art Of Golf Design' Book By Michael Miller & Geoff Shackelford
Miller is both a golf professional and landscape artist. Shackelford is both a golf historian and writer and recently the co- designer of the Los Angeles Country Club restoration. This 189-page book reviews the classic holes of the 1920s and ’30s. and contains golf architecture essays by the likes of Behr, Simpson, Darwin and Hunter. Many of Miller’s images take the reader back in time, often to when a classic hole at Pine Valley, Cypress Point or Pinehurst No.2 was in its earliest form. Shackelford provides his insight on the architectural thinking that went into the creation of these classic holes. The book has been nicely protected by its’ dust jacket.
