1928 Champion Bobby Jones US Amateur Championship at Brae Burn Acme Photo
It really wasn't a fair fight for John Beck in the third round of the 1928 US Amateur Championship. Goliath beat David on this day, and the rest of his opponents for that matter. Bobby Jones trounced Beck 14 and 13 and set a new course record at host Brae Burn Country Club. Walking side by side as the main attraction that day, this mid-stride crystal clear photo was shot. Jones was no stranger to hoisting the Havemeyer Trophy, this his fourth of five US Amateur victories. The verso includes the corresponding caption and appropriate media stamping for this photo. 8 1/2" x 6 1/2"
