Mickey Mantle Signed 'The Mighty Mick Of 56' w/ Triple Crown Insc. Poster
Few names in the history of sport are held in higher regard than the New York Yankees' great Mickey Mantle. Mantle was known as a clutch performer, holding the record of 13 walk-off home runs, and World Series records of most home runs, RBI's, extra-base hits, runs, walks and total bases. Flawlessly signed in silver on this oversize 23" x 35" poster titled 'The Mighty Mick of 56' with the rare inscription of TC 1956 in his hand below signifying his incredible Triple Crown feat. The story goes 'The Mick' would go into the manager's office after the career year and ask for a raise to which manager Casey Stengel promptly replied that if anything he should get a pay decrease. The stunned Mantle asked why and Stengel came back right away with 'You won't get a triple crown next year' in regards to the rare feat. Celebrate that rare feat with this acquisition. On board, this stunning artist Ray Gallo smiling cross-legged on bench depiction depiction-autograph-inscription trio is poised for framing of the winning bidder's choosing.
