1926 'A Guide to Good Golf' Book by James M. Barnes - 3rd Printing
1916 PGA Champion James (Jim) Barnes wrote this “A Guide to Good Golf” 3rd Printing 1926 Book which is in very good condition; dust jacket shows minor wear and discoloration. Jim Barnes won the PGA twice, U.S. and British Opens and the wrote this guide to golf. He states there is no “royal road” to ability and emphasizes patience, practice, and attention to form. On form, he writes that a player must get a “correct mental pattern of the swing,” and from there, “it is merely a matter of shortening or lengthening the pattern as the case may be.” Includes illustrations.
