1969 Pocket Organizer - Personalized Walter Hagen
The first giant of American golf, prominent both on the course and in elevating the status of the professional. He wound up winning 11 national championships-four British Opens, two U.S. Opens and five PGA Championships. And before he was through, he had so seized the public imagination that golf pros were walking in the front doors of clubhouses instead of the back doors. He made a million dollars in golf in a period when that was all but unthinkable-and he spent it. Above all Hagen was a great competitor, as well as a great showman. This pocket organizer from 1969 was gifted to Walter Hagen and his longtime companion Doris (Brandes) in the last year of Haig's life, he would pass in October of '69.
