1947 Portland Open Tournament Program - Charles Congdon Winner

The Portand Open was first contested as a PGA event in 1944 with Sam Snead as it's first champion, the second edition in 1945 had Ben Hogan as the victor. A recap of those two tournaments along with head shots of both Snead and Hogan are contained in this 1947 Portland Open program. It was the third edition of the tournament with the host Portland Golf Club not available as they hosted the 1946 PGA Championship as won by Ben Hogan. That course like so many must have fit the eye of "The Hawk". This program remains in Excellent condition.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on September 27th with extended bidding to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
