1949 Dr. Cary Middlecoff National Open Champion Homecoming Banquet Program
Two day event was staged in 1949 at the Colonial Country Club just outside Memphis, Tennessee to welcome hometown hero Cary Middlecoff who was fresh off a one stroke triumph over Sam Snead in the 1949 United States Open. This gala included a banquet and a return match between Middlecoff and Snead. Offered here is the Near Mint condition seldom seen very well presented program from those proceedings. Both these Champions would go on to enshrinement in the Golf Hall of Fame.
