1966 PGA Championship at Firestone CC Signed by Al Geiberger
The 1966 PGA Championship was held at Firestone Country Club because the original site at Columbine C.C. sustained damage from a flash flood. It was the site of Al Geiberger's only major championship. Munching peanut butter sandwiches for stamina, the California native shared the first-round lead with Sam Snead. The lead bounced back and fourth, but when Snead fired closing rounds of 75 and 73, Geiberger won by four strokes over Dudley Wysong. The Major winner Geiberger has neatly signed the cover of this ex-mint program with black sharpie. James Spence Authentication (JSA) provides a letter of authenticity with this signature.
