1967 Westchester Classic Guest Pin
1967 was the Inaugural Westchester Classic and it's victor was non other than Jack Nicklaus. The Golden Bear was determined to win the tournament, and after claiming his $50k prize for 1st place stated that the Army (Arnies Army) didn't bug him too much.
In the Free Lance Star Newspaper article by Will Grimsley stated "Aw, I'm getting used to it, it's really quite comical. I'm out there to play golf. I try to concentrate and ignore them".
The tournament was first named after the course that hosted it, and has gone through many tournament sponsor names over the years. It is currently known as The Barclays.
