The Links Golf Flag Signed by Gary Player and Dr. Hasso Plattner
This flag was produced in very limited quantity (purported only 25) for the announcement of the Gary Player designed Links of Fancourt in South Africa as part of the Fancourt Golf Estate owned by Dr Hasso Plattner (German billionaire co-founder of SAP). This was the venue that hosted the 2003 Presidents Cup when the USA and International teams shared the Cup. Tiger Woods and Ernie Els, following a 3 hole playoff standoff, and with darkness looming, led to an agreement by both the players and captains (Nicklaus and Player) that a shared title was in order. The course is of the Player's inspiration from the best Irish and Scottish links courses he has played over his stellar career. This flag has been signed by both designer (Gary Player) and owner (Dr.Hasso Plattner) with James Spence Authentication providing authenticity of signatures in this lot.
