1980 US Open at Baltusrol GC Commemorative Pewter Plate
Jack Nicklaus returned to Baltusrol the site of his 1965 U.S. Open win and showed once again that the course fit his eye with a two stroke win over fellow soon to be Hall of Famer Isao Aoki to captue the 1980 U.S. Open. The win was Nicklaus' fourth and final U.S. Open championship and marked the 16th Major triumph of his career. Offered in this lot is the official 9" diameter plate which bears the logo of that Championship held at the Springfield New Jersey famed Baltusrol course. This would make an interesting conversation piece to have Mr. Nicklaus sign.
