1940 Texas Open Golf Tournament Sunday Ticket - Byron Nelson Winner
Ticket which measures 2 1/8" x 4 1/4" comes from the Sunday round of the PGA Tour event at held at Breckinridge Park G.C. in San Antonio. What an event this was for Texas with two native Texans Byron Nelso and Ben Hogan tieing after regulation at 271. It was Nelson winning out in the 18-hole playoff of the two longtime golf course rivals. Ticket still retains original vibrant color while displaying a center crease. This event was the 11th of Nelson's career, but the ever sweet first on Texas soil.
