1950 Motor City Open Tournament Golf Program - Lloyd Mangrum Winner

The Motor City Open holds little piece of PGA tour history as it has the PGA Tour record for the longest sudden-death playoff established at the 1949 Motor City Open. Cary Middlecoff and Lloyd Mangrum played 11 holes, and were still stalemated when the light of day subsided. The officials declared them co-winners of that contest. The following year Mangrum didn't want to bother with another playoff, and won the tournament outright. This great condition program presents extremely well. The tournament was held at Red Run Golf Club
