Lot of Two Course Logo Balls Signed by Frank Stranahan from PGA Wins

At the '48 Miami Open. In the 25th annual edition of the PGA professionals playing in Miami, Frank Stranahan would fire a 66 to take the first round lead. He kept his consistent play intact over four rounds finishing with a 10 under par score of 270. This was good for a four stroke win over the field of both amateurs and professionals. It marked the first time in the 25 year history of the tournament that an amateur had captured the overall title. It was the fourth and final PGA win posted by Frank as an amateur. He would also win twice as a professional. Stranahan claimed his first win since turning professional at the 1955 Eastern Open played at Baltimore's 6,895 yard Municipal Mt. Pleasant course. He dropped a putt of about 18 inches for the one stroke margin of victory over his playing partner Art Wall. Stranny would card a 280 for the week, eight strokes under par. Course logo golf balls from Miami Springs Golf & Country Club and Mount Pleasant Golf Club in Baltimore, Maryland sites of these two Stranahan wins have been autographed by "Stranny". He has signed each ball in black sharpie with his full name Frank R. Stranahan. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed each of these two Stranahan autographs, and their letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
