Congressional C.C. Prospectus Book
A true treasure combining collecting genres of golf and Presidential is this dated November 23, 1923 prospectus of membership for the Congressional Country Club. A retreat for the Washington power brokers of the day which included the Coolidges and Hoovers. This valued collectible also contains a club history presented in both text and pictorial formats bringing to life what the golf scene at the finest club in America was in the Teens and Twenties. With cover and binding still strongly intact this seldom seen offering presents in ex/mt condition. No golf library would be complete without this duo collecting delight.
We at The Golf Auction are proud to have the opportunity to represent Mark and Cynthia Brooks in the auctioning of items from their collection of golf books, art work and mementos assembled over a PGA career which began in 1983 and has encompassed a remarkable 799 career PGA tournaments. This great run of golf at its highest level has been highlighted by seven PGA Tour wins, his play as a victorious member of the 1996 United States Presidents Cup team, and of course his Major triumph at the 1996 PGA Championship.
