1964 April in Augusta Magazine
The early 1960's were the end of an era of tranquility that valued what might best be called small town values. No town was better known for that mystic then Augusta, Ga. This way of living was put on display for the whole world to see each April when they hosted the Masters Tournament which had grown to become must watch television for that world of new television watchers. Offered here is Augusta's tribute in print to just how important the Master's week was to the small town. It features the parade, beauty pageant, and of course golf that comprised the festive week of activities. This seldom seen publication remains in Nr/MT condition with strong spine intact some 50 years after it's printing. Yes, 1964 was one of the four magical years in which Arnold Palmer was the champ, "King" of the Masters.
