Lot of Three 100th U.S. Open Cachets From Pebble Beach
Amazing as this may seem the United States Post Office has a branch that is right off the putting green at Pebble Beach adjacent to the shops which border this green. A perfect promotional venture was to have the Postal Service produce a stamped cachet for the event. The artwork of the oceanside course features a rendering of the world famous 7th and 19th hole as well as the iconic lone Cypress tree is from the brush of noted sports artist Armando Delgado. He has signed each of the cachets.
