This 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" contestants pin which belonged to Bill Davis carries the same traditional design which the United States Golf Association began employing for its Championships beginning with the 1960 Mens U.S. Open. The U.S. Senior Open which was first contested in 1980 is recognized as a major by both the Champions Tour and the European Seniors Tour. Arnold Palmer joined legendary players like Gary Player and Ben Hogan who claimed U.S.G.A. titles at Oakland Hills Country Club in Birmingham, Michigan. This course has always set up as one of the toughest U.S.G.A. championship sites. It was no different in Arnie's win as he took home the hardware despite a 289 (+9) score.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on June 21st with extended bidding to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
