1992 The Memorial Tournament Crystal Decanter with Stopper - Mark Brooks Collection
This piece of Waterford Crystal was gifted to PGA player Mark Brooks by tournament hosts Barbara and Jack Nicklaus for his appearance in Jack's 1992 Memorial Tournament. Brooks in his third appearance in the highly popular limited field invitational was two back after an opening round 67. He contended on the weekend finishing at 275 two strokes behind and tied for fifth. This players gift has been front etched with THE MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT and 1992. This Waterford classic features intricate diamond cuts rendered in radiant fine crystal. The clarity of this work extends over the 4" diameter of the Decanter which stands 10 1/2" tall with the stopper in place.
We at The Golf Auction are proud to have the opportunity to represent Mark and Cynthia Brooks in the auctioning of items from their collection of golf books, art work and mementos assembled over a PGA career which began in 1983 and has encompassed a remarkable 799 career PGA tournaments. This great run of golf at its highest level has been highlighted by seven PGA Tour wins, his play as a victorious member of the 1996 United States Presidents Cup team, and of course his Major triumph at the 1996 PGA Championship.
