Hugh Wilson Invitational Pewter Medal - Merion


The Hugh Wilson Invitational began in 1978, and today it ranks as one of the finest amateur events held in the United States. The event is named for Wilson, a Scottish immigrant, who designed both the east and west courses at Merion Golf Club located just outside of Philadelphia. The 4 1/4" diameter undated medal features the courses' famous wicker basket on it's intricately designed front side. It is here the inscription is found:
