2010 Spring Golf Memorabilia Auction featuring Lloyd Mangrum Estate
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/8/2010
Offered is a 1953 Thursday Masters Ticket #668. The 1953 Masters ticket carries the highest value among Masters ticket collectors after the early years 1934-40 ducats. This valuation is due at least in part to Ben Hogan's great run in the 1953 Majors. That year he would become the first player to win three professional Majors in a year following his Masters victory with triumphs in the U.S. Open at Oakmont and the British Open at Carnoustie. This ticket falls in the VG condition category only detractions being center and lower righthand creasing to this clean example. Course worn, this admission voucher was there to witness the legendary swing of Hogan and carries its original string to this day.
Lots 1-225 will enter extended bidding on Thursday 4/8 at 6 PM EST, and will close that evening. Lots 225-450 will enter extended bidding at 7 PM EST on Sunday 4/11 and will close that evening. If you have any questions please call 813-340-6179
